Two Good Websites to Download FreeTextbooks

January 12, 2015
I recently received a couple of requests concerning websites where to access and download free textbooks. I picked out the two popular sites I have featured here in the past and put them together in the list below.  If you have other suggestions to add to the list, share them with us below.

1-Bookboon

Bookboon is  a website that provides hundreds of free online textbooks for students. These  textbooks are all written by professors from different universities and they cover different topics and disciplines. You can search for textbooks using criteria such as popularity, rating, or publication. While the textbooks offered by Bookboon are completely free, the site, however, requires you to sign up for their newsletter and it also asks for the name of your school and program of study. Afterwards you will  get a link to download the PDF format of the book you are looking for.

2- Textbook Revolution

Textbook Revolution is a student-run site dedicated to increasing the use of free educational materials by teachers and professors. On this site you'll find links and reviews of textbooks and select educational resources. Some of the books are PDF files, others are viewable online as e-books, or some are simply web sites containing course or multimedia content.
