4 iPad Apps Students Can Use to Create 3D Art Models

January 5, 2015
Today I am sharing with you this great video I came across in Vimeo. The video which is created by Southfield Elementary School features four interesting apps that kids can use to create and experiment with  3D models and artifacts. I pulled out the apps mentioned in this video and compiled them for you below. For other 3D iPad apps suggestions, I would recommend this list.

1- Let's Create Poetry HD Lite
With Let's Create: Pottery making ceramics has never been more simple and fun! Become a true artist and create "one of a kind" pottery items and share them with your friends! Throw the clay on the wheel, release all your artistic talents and take benefit of dozens of materials available in order to create your own design! Even when you glaze and fire your very first pot you will feel accomplished and relaxed as pottery is the best way to relieve your everyday stress and find your inner peace. An amazing, therapeutic and uplifting experience you can enjoy with your family and friends!

2- Block Art HD

Just like LEGO or Minecraft, build anything you can imagine in wonderfully rendered 3d.  And it is easy, just stick block onto each other and watch your creation come to life.  The user interface is so intuitive that even a 4 year old can use it.

3- iDough

iDough is your digital sculpting app, letting you bring the art shop along anywhere you go. iDough allows beginners to get into digital sculpting and professionals to do their work on the go.
4- 123D Creature (not included in the video)
Create fantastic 3D characters like a pro with Autodesk 123D Creature. Design your creature, then sculpt detailed features and paint on skin, fur, feathers, or whatever you imagine. Export your finished creature as an image or 3D model, or have it 3D printed into a real sculpture!

Watch the video below to see how kids use these apps.
